1. A stalk stomper assembly adapted for adjustable attachment, the stalk stomper comprising:
a mount member; a skid shoe member having a first end; an upper support member having a first end operatively and pivotally connected with the first end of the skid shoe member, the upper support member further comprising an upper plate member having a transverse cross bar member formed at a first end thereof for receipt into recesses defined by the mount, and sidewall members extending longitudinally from the cross bar member along the plate member, the sidewall members defining a pair of transversely opposed attachment holes for securing a first end of the skid shoe member, the sidewall members defining a series of transverse pairs of adjustment holes, each of said pairs of adjustment holes configured to align with a pair of transverse holes defined by the mount; a torsion spring assembly operatively connecting the first end of the upper support member and the first end of the skid shoe, the torsion spring assembly being biased to urge a second end of the skid shoe member away from the upper support member; and a pin member adapted to engage the pair of transverse holes defined by the mount and at least one of the series of pairs of adjustment holes in the upper support member, the relative angle between the mount and the upper support member being determined by selection of at least one of the series of pairs of adjustment holes in the upper support member.
