The present invention relates to a transmitter for data communication, which comprises an output driver for implementing a pre-emphasis function while reducing power consumption and for controlling a level of the pre-emphasis. An embodiment of the disclosed present invention includes: an input stage; an output stage; a pre-emphasis control signal generation circuit for generating pre-emphasis control signals from input data inputted from the input stage; a data serializer for converting the data inputted from the input stage into serial data; and an output driver for receiving the serial data and the pre-emphasis control signals, generating pre-emphasized output data by performing pre-emphasis on the serial data and outputting through the output stage. |
