The present invention relates to an apparatus for feeding mold flux and a continuous casting method using the same. The apparatus for feeding mold flux comprises a raw material container accommodating a raw material for mold flux; a feeder which is connected with the raw material container and has a rotating rod rotating in a direction that a raw material is transferred; an operator connected to the rotating rod and providing rotating force for the rotation rod; a temperature sensor measuring the temperature of a mold outside the mold; and a controller which calculates the heat flux with the temperature of the mold measured by the temperature sensor and controls the operations of the raw material container and the operator according to the change in the heat flux by being connected with the temperature sensor. The apparatus for feeding mold flux and the continuous casting method using the same can maintain a property of matter of mold flux the same as the initial property of a matter of mold flux until the continuous casting is completed by determining whether a raw material adjusting the component of the mold flux is injected by measuring the temperature of a mold. |
