The present invention relates to a method for high quality production of aromatic carboxylic acid having a large average particle size. In particular, the present invention provides a method for producing aromatic carboxylic acid comprising a step of performing liquid oxygen oxidation on aromatic hydrocarbon by using a catalyst, which is mixed with a metal catalyst and a brome compound, and a specifically crystallized compound under the presence of a polar organic solvent and an oxygen-containing gas.
