The present invention provides a stereoscopic image display device. The stereoscopic image display device comprises: a display panel; a polarizing plate which is placed on the display surface of the display panel; a patterned retarder film which is placed on the polarizing plate; and a pattern layer which is placed between the display surface of the display panel and the polarizing plate and has a pattern groove with an air layer inside. The lower portion of the pattern groove contacting the display surface of the display panel is wide, and the upper portion of the pattern groove contacting the polarizing plate is narrow.
