PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely remove residual developer remaining after a toner image is transferred to a member to be transferred from the surface of an image carrier.SOLUTION: A wet image forming apparatus 100 includes a photoreceptor 10, a damming blade 16 damming the residual developer moved to the downstream side of a transfer part, according to the rotation of the photoreceptor 10, a recovery roller 17 arranged on the downstream side from the transfer part and on the upstream side from the damming blade 16 and rotated while coming into press-contact with the surface of the photoreceptor 10, and a supply device 18 supplying a cleaning liquid toward the residual developer carried by the part on the upstream side from the damming blade 16, of the surface of the photoreceptor 10. The residual developer dammed by the damming blade 16 is diluted by supplying the cleaning liquid, to form a liquid reservoir. The recovery roller 17 recovers the residual developer forming the liquid reservoir. |
