PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drain plug device for a bathtub, for preventing water leakage from the end of a protection tube on the side of an operation part.SOLUTION: The drain plug device for the bathtub includes a drain plug for opening/closing a drain port, the operation part arranged at a position lower than the overflow surface of the bathtub for remote-controlling the drain plug to be opened/closed, a release wire for transmitting the operation of the operation part to the drain plug, the protection tube connected to a drain pipe and incorporating the release wire, and a fixing member for mounting the end of the protection tube on the opposite side to the drain pipe to a fixing part provided on the back of an apron. The fixing member has a first member one end of which is connected to the protection tube and the other end of which is arranged on the back side of the fixing part, and which has a communication hole ranging from one end to the other end for the release wire to be inserted therethrough, a second member which is arranged on the front side of the fixing part and fastened to the first member to mount the first member to the fixing part, and a water cutoff member which is mounted in the communication hole of the first member to fill up a space between the release wire and the first member. |
