PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyamide resin excellent in balance of mechanical strength, heat resistance, color tone and the like, and to provide a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: A polyamide resin contains 1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid of over 5 mol% and less than 50 mol% and dicarboxylic acid other than 1,4-cyclohexanecarboxylic acid of over 50 mol% and less than 95 mol% as a dicarboxylic acid component, and xylylenediamine having the content of a paraxylylenediamine component of 10 to 100 mol% of 50 to 100 mol% and diamine other than xylylenediamine of 0 to 50 mol% as a diamine component, and the logarithmic viscosity (IV) measured at concentration of 0.5 g/dL in concentrated sulfuric acid and a temperature of 25°C and the number average molecular weight (Mn) obtained by a titrimetric method satisfy the mathematical formula (1) and the mathematical formula (2). There is also provided a manufacturing method thereof. |
