PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low pressure casting apparatus in which heat of a casting mold 27 does not affect on a lifting mechanism or the like for carrying out vertical motion of an upper die 29b, and lifting operation can be smoothly carried out during casting process.SOLUTION: A low pressure casting apparatus in which the upper die 29b and a lower die 29a are vertically laminated to form a cavity 29c therebetween, and a molten metal 12 is charged in the cavity 29c from a stoke 1' which is connected to a gate 29d provided to a lower part of the lower die 29a thereby a casting is molded, a heat insulation material 35 is located on a base plate 33 through which slide guides 34 and 34 in a lifting mechanism for lifting the upper die 29b are penetrated, and the lower die 29a of the casting mold 27 is mounted on the heat insulation material 35, thereby the base plate 33 thermally insulated from the casting mold 27 via the heat insulation material 35. The heat insulation material 35 further thermally insulates the stoke 1' from the lower die 29a. |
