PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal head capable of reducing the probability of peeling a substrate and a protection member.SOLUTION: A thermal head X1 includes: a substrate 7; a plurality of heating portions provided on the substrate 7; a plurality of electrodes 21 provided on the substrate 7, and electrically connected to the plurality of heating portions; a coating member 27 provided on the substrate 7, having a first exposing portion 14 exposing end portions of the plurality of electrodes 21, and coating at least a part of portions except for the end portions of the plurality of electrodes 21; a connection member disposed on the first exposing portion 14, and electrically connecting the plurality of electrodes 21 and the outside; and a protection member provided on the substrate 7, and protecting at least a part of the connection member. The coating member 27 has a second exposing portion 16 provided separately from the first exposing portion 14, and the protection member is disposed on the second exposing portion 16. |
