A travel control device (100) is capable of implementing a continuous drive mode, i.e. a mode in which a vehicle (1) is made to travel within a prescribed vehicle-speed range including a vehicle speed determined in accordance with an accelerator opening amount, while repeatedly and alternately transmitting and not transmitting, to drive wheels (WL), rotational motive power generated by a motive-power source (16) of the vehicle (1). The travel control device is provided with a control means (11) which, during implementation of the continuous drive mode, if a variation amount of the accelerator opening amount exceeds a prescribed variation amount, initiates a determination time period for determining whether the continuous drive mode is to continue, and, after the determination time period has ended, in cases when it is determined, in accordance with an accelerator-opening-amount variation width acquired during the determination time period, that the continuous drive mode is to continue, sets an accelerator tracking time period for causing vehicle torque to track accelerator operation by a driver. |
