The plate-link chain (1) has a longer chain link element (4) provided with longer tab portions (15,16). A shorter chain link element (3) is provided with shorter tab portions (11,12). The shorter and longer tab portions are coupled by cradle thrust elements (21,22). The interstices (24,25) are provided between the shorter and longer tab portions. The intermediate elements (31,32) are arranged in the interstices. The intermediate elements are formed of resilient plastic material.
