PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a carbon monoxide purging filter in which a catalyst for purging carbon monoxide is fixed to a filter substrate while avoiding the congestion, mechanical damages, and thermal melting of the filter substrate and to provide the carbon monoxide purging filter thus obtained and a carbon monoxide purging apparatus using the same.SOLUTION: A carbon monoxide purging filter 10 in which gold catalyst nanoparticles are flocculated and adhered to the surface of a filter substrate 4 is manufactured by contacting and coating the filter substrate with a catalyst ink comprising: a gold nanoparticle catalyst 1 obtained by supporting gold nanoparticles 2 on inorganic particles 3; and a solvent for dispersing the gold nanoparticle catalyst and by subsequently drying and removing the solvent. It is desirable for the gold nanoparticle catalyst to abide in an ultimately deflocculated state within the catalyst ink and to be reflocculated atop the filter substrate 4. It is desirable, from the standpoint of adhesiveness, for the average particle diameter of the gold nanoparticle catalyst within the catalyst ink to be 5 μm or less. A carbon monoxide purging apparatus is provided by using such a carbon monoxide purging filter. |
