The present invention relates to a power dualization circuit of PIS video distributor and a control method and, more particularly, a power dualization circuit and power dualization control method for providing power for a video distributor through a sub-SMPS if a main SMPS malfunctions by dividing the power source of a power device, providing power for the PIS video distributor, into the main SMPS and sub-SMPS. The power dualization circuit of PIS video distributor according to the present invention comprises: a power device comprising the main SMPS and sub-SMPS converting inputted AC power into DC and outputting DC; the video distributor for receiving DC power from the power device, receiving video signals from a central control server or previous passenger guiding displayer to display them on a monitor, and transmitting the same to the next passenger guiding displayer; a monitor outputting the video signals outputted form the video distributor on a screen; and a switching unit for switching AC power into sub-SMPS if a detected malfunction in the main SMPS is determined to be a malfunction.
