PURPOSE: A method for preparing an absorbent resin by polymerizing a monomer solution is provided to avoid separate facilities for supplying inert gas supply and to rapidly remove oxygen created during the polymerization. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing an absorbent resin by polymerizing a monomer solution comprises a step of suppressing the dissolved oxygen in the monomer solution by adding a material generating gas through the reaction with the monomer solution before the initiation of the polymerization. The material generating gas through the reaction with the monomer solution is one kind or more of carbonate compounds, liquefied nitrogen, and sodium metabisulfite selected from the group consisting of sodium carbonate, sodium hydrogen carbonate, potassium carbonate, potassium hydrogen carbonate and ammonium carbonate. |
