Disclosed are an energy absorber and a vehicle bumper unit using the same. The energy absorber according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a support plate of a constant length; a plurality of elastic bodies which are arranged at different heights in the longitudinal direction of the support plate; and a shock absorbing plate which is supported on both ends of the support plate and covers the plurality of elastic bodies. The bumper unit is arranged with the energy absorber in the front of a vehicle in the width direction of the vehicle and includes: a bumper beam to mount the energy absorber on the front thereof; and stays which are formed on both sides of the rear of the bumper beam and the bumper beam mounted to a vehicle body. |
