A voice transmission method, terminal, voice server and voice transmission system are provided in the embodiments of the invention. The voice transmission method includes: collecting voice audio; processing the collected voice audio during the voice audio collection; and during the voice audio processing, if the length of the audio data generated after the processing achieves a preset data length, sending the audio data as an audio data segment. Furthermore, a voice transmission terminal, voice server and voice transmission system are provided in the invention. The technical solution of the invention can effectively improve voice transmission efficiency, and effectively meet the demand of the voice intercom of instant messaging for the real-time capability of voice transmission.
