PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively update an application.SOLUTION: The information processing device capable of communicating with a server through a network acquires update information from the server at a first timing and stores the acquired update information. The update information is information capable of determining existence or non-existence of an update for respective applications. The information processing device determines existence or non-existence of an update for at least one application stored in a storage unit which is accessible from the information processing device, at a second timing which is independent from the first timing on the basis of the stored update information. The information processing device acquires update data which is used to update an application for which existence of an update is determined, from the server.
