<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop a power source of an integrated circuit during a power saving mode to reduce power consumption.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: an FET 137 that stops power supply from a low-voltage power source 99 to an ASIC 136 in an energy saving mode, and starts power supply in a normal mode; and a communication line for performing a notification related to the transition from the energy saving mode to the normal mode between an image controller 127 and a CPU 135. When the CPU 135 receives an instruction to control the transition from the energy saving mode to the normal mode from the image controller 127 via the communication line, it controls the FET 137 to start power supply to the ASIC 136.</p> |
