The invention relates to a hand dryer 1 for drying a user's hands by means of an airflow discharged through an air outlet 3, 5 on the hand dryer. The airflow is generated by a motor-driven fan unit 9 supported by a resilient support member 55 in contact with the fan unit. The support member has a vertex, which vertex makes contact with the fan unit. The support member is preferably elastomeric and conical in shape and is mounted to a fixed part (11 figure 9) of the hand dryer. There may be more than one support member around the outside of the fan unit. |
