The method involves making fluid contact surface of pressurized fluid conveying component formed from stainless steel to contact with the pump. The cold forming internal compressive stresses are applied to the pressurized fluid conveying component through a portion of fluid contact surface, before installation of fluid conveying component into the pump. The fluid is conveyed into fluid space through passage opening of fluid conveying component. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) pressurized fluid conveying component; (2) method for manufacture of reciprocating displacement pump; and (3) reciprocating displacement pump.
