The present invention relates to a novel use of a Phabitidis Semen extract, in which a composition for treatment and functional food contains, as an active ingredient, a Phabitidis Semen extract exhibiting excellent preventative and treatment effects on pancreatic cancer. The Phabitidis Semen extract according to the present invention suppresses growth and induces apoptosis of pancreatic cancer cells, and therefore can be used effectively for pancreatic cancer treatment and prevention.
