The present invention relates to a control device of a mobile terminal and a method thereof capable of simultaneously searching a search word through various application programs and rapidly offering various information related to the search word. The control device of the mobile terminal according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises a display unit and a control unit. The display unit displays a search window. The control unit searches the application programs which are capable of searching the search word based on the search word inputted to the search window; searches the information related to the search word through the application programs; and displays the searched information on the display unit.
