Provided is a large-area/thin-type radiation detection device with which positional dependency inside a radiation-detection-area surface is vastly improved, and highly accurate radiation detection can be achieved. This radiation detection device (1) is provided with: a thin, plate-shaped scintillator (2) which is disposed inside a container (7) shielded from light, and which emits a scintillation light (9) corresponding to the dosage of radiation (8) entering from outside the container (7); a light guide (3) which is optically connected to a rear surface of the scintillator (2), and which guides the scintillation light (9); a light receiving element (5) which is adhered to a side surface of the light guide (3), and which receives the scintillation light (9) guided by the light guide (3), converts said light into an electrical signal, and outputs said electrical signal; a reflective film (4) which covers a structural body comprising the light guide (3) and the scintillator (2); and a signal processing circuit which is connected to the light receiving element (5), and which measures the radiation dosage on the basis of the electrical signal. A reflected-light restriction part (3A) is provided to the light guide (3). |
