PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector and a projection screen, capable of achieving sufficient reduction effect of speckle noise by sufficiently scattering a laser beam.SOLUTION: A projector 100 comprises: a red LD 23, a blue LD 24 and a green LD 25 that emit laser beams; a scanner mirror 28 scanning the laser beams; and a transmission screen 1 on which an image is projected. The transmission screen 1 comprises: a microlens array 11 including a plurality of lens parts 111 for splitting the laser beams to be scanned; and a directive diffusion sheet 12 arranged facing the microlens array 11, and including an incident surface 122 receiving the laser beams split by the microlens array 11 and a diffusion part 121 diffusing the laser beams received by the incident surface. The diffusion part 121 is arranged in a position away by more than a focal distance D1 of the microlens array 11 along an optical axis 114 with respect to a main optical plane 113 of the microlens array 11. |
