PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an olefin resin composition capable of yielding a molding having an excellent rigidity while appearance defects thereof are being inhibited.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an olefin resin composition is a method for manufacturing an olefin resin composition capable of yielding a molding having a flexural modulus of elasticity of at least 1600 MPa or above as measured in compliance with ISO 178 and including a step of mixing, either before or during the polymerization of an olefin monomer, a solution obtained by adding a nucleator component to an organoaluminum compound or an organoaluminum compound and an organic solvent at a nucleator component ratio of 0.001-0.5 part.mass with respect to 100 parts.mass of an olefin polymer obtained as a result of the polymerization of the olefin monomer and then polymerizing the olefin monomer.
