PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic induction type information input device which can acquire information that a user inputs using a writing instrument and is improved in precision of detection of the position of the writing instrument.SOLUTION: In an electromagnetic induction type information input device which can acquire information that a user inputs using a writing instrument, a plurality of detection means perform processing for detecting an output signal output by the writing instrument (S3), the detection means whose detected output signal has the largest intensity is specified as specific detection means among the plurality of detection means (S7), electric power supply to non-specific detection means except the specific detection means is stopped (S9 or S21), after the power supply to the non-specific detection means is stopped, the specific detection means performs the processing for detecting the signal output from the writing instrument (S11 or S23), and the position of the writing instrument is specified based on the detection result (S13 or S25). |
