PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system for an electronic endoscope, in which the resolution feeling and contrast of an image are improved in an endoscope observation using a dyestuff endoscope inspection method.SOLUTION: An image signal of an endoscope inputted is inputted to a specific color extraction circuit 27, and an image signal of a specific color corresponding to a dyestuff liquid scattered. The extracted image signal is set out to a first line buffer 28, and the pixel signal of an image area necessary for a subsequent stage digital filter 29. In this digital filter 29, the pixel signal of the first buffer 28 is referred to perform a filter treatment for sharpening the specific color image extracted. The input image signal is held in a second line buffer 30 and is outputted in synchronism with the output from the digital filter 29, so that the two signals are synthesized in an adder circuit 31. The image signal thus synthesized is outputted to a later-stage image signal processing circuit 20. |
