ESTIMATION METHOD FOR RESIDUAL FREQUENCY ERROR FOR COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a residual frequency error estimation method for a communication system.SOLUTION: An estimation method for a residual frequency error between a signal transmitted through a communication channel and a reception signal on an OFDM communication system includes: a step for estimating a prediction subcarrier, based on a channel estimation value determined by a channel estimation between transmission and reception of a subcarrier and a predetermined reference subcarrier, for each subcarrier in a symbol of a reception signal; a step for multiplying the estimated prediction subcarrier by a received subcarrier on a complex plane for each subcarrier; a step for estimating an angle and magnitude of multiplication in the previous step for each subcarrier; a step for calculating a weighted average value of estimated angle by eliminating a phase offset caused by sampling frequency mismatch for each subcarrier; and a step for estimating a residual frequency error using a variation of weighted average angle from a previous symbol by calculating a variation of a weighted average angle from the previous symbol.
