A process for producing extruded articles comprises compacting a mixture of powdered two-stage phenol formaldehyde resin and fibrous filler, the resin content lying between 5 and 50% of the total weight, and forcing the mixture by a piston 1 through an elongated die 4 heated by elements 5, 6, 7 to the resin curing temperature.
