The present invention relates to a method for installing a shortcut on a desktop using a mobile application, and a system thereof. The method for installing a shortcut of a mobile device includes the steps of executing an installation feature by calling a linked application in a web service providing browser; calling a uniform resource locator (URL) Scheme specified by the linked application; and installing a web service shortcut on the desktop.
