A valve 11, Fig. 2, metering water flow from an inlet 14 to an induction manifold connection 26 comprises a needle 12 coacting with a rubber seat 13 and mounted on a piston 10 the peripheral clearance of which in its cylinder forms a water flow restriction. The valve 11 is controlled by a spring 17 the action of which can be overcome by an electromagnet 18 whose core 15 is adjustably screwed into the valve 11 and which is energized by opening of the engine throttle 25, Fig. 3, which releases a switch button 19a to close a switch 19 in a lead to the electromagnet from that terminal of the engine ignition coil 21 which is connected by a lead 22 to the ignition switch. |
