<p>An IR zoom objective 1 which includes, arranged in order from the imaging direction, an optical front assembly 2, at least one optical zoom assembly 3 and 4 which can be moved along the path of the infra red rays, a principal objective 5 for imaging an intermediate image into an intermediate image plane 12, and an optical relay assembly 9 for imaging the intermediate image onto an infra-red detector 11. There is also a warm diaphragm 10b positioned downstream of the relay assembly 9 and which is capable of being introduced into the path of the imaging rays. The magnifying array may also include an optical pupil compensation assembly 6 that can move along the optical axis to compensate for the displacement of the position of the entrance pupil introduced by the warm diaphragm 10b and is located between the principal objective 5 and the relay assembly 9.</p> |
