Disclosed is an image forming method of an image forming apparatus with a graphic device interface (GDI) method. The image forming method comprises the steps of: forming a concentration pattern for tone compensation; measuring the concentration of the concentration pattern for the formed tone compensation; and transmitting concentration data of the concentration pattern for the measured tone compensation to a host apparatus communicating with the image forming apparatus.
