The present invention relates to a system for monitoring an image and a method thereof. According to the present invention, a system for monitoring an image can monitor an object by controlling an imaging device including at least one camera. The system includes: an image control device which controls the imaging device to photograph a detected object at a location closer than a photographing location included in a first photographing information, according to the location information of the object, when the object is detected from the first photographing information obtained by the imaging device, receives a second photographing information obtained at the closer location, and generates an object identifier according to the type of the object; and an operating device which inserts an icon, matched to the object identifier, in one side of the object included in the first photographing information with the first photographing information, and displays the icon and the first photographing information. Thus, the present invention enables operation personnel to easily grasp a person considered as a suspicious person or a vehicle parked in a predetermined parking violation area while simply identifying the type of an object by providing an icon for each object automatically or manually at one side of an object in a photographed image. Further, the present invention enables operation personnel to grasp various risk elements more quickly and accurately by setting the various risk elements, which may occur by a person or a vehicle, to event generation conditions. |
