PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a follow-up carriage system capable of responding also to movement of a leading person, etc. who turns around a corner of a building or a passage.SOLUTION: A movable carriage 2 including leading object detection means 23 for outputting an azimuth and distance of a leading person and an infrared sensor for detecting infrared light by an external unit 3 on the front side: has controls switched according to whether the infrared sensor is in a detection state or is in a non-detection state. In the detection state, follow-up movement control is performed so that the azimuth and distance of the leading person are predetermined values. In the non-detection state, autonomous movement control is performed when an obstacle is not in a track to a deviation point where the leading person is finally detected and the movement of the movable carriage is stopped when the obstacle is in the track to the deviation point. |
