TRIARYLMETHANE DYE AND APPLICATIONS OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a triarylmethane dye excellent in terms of color characteristics (lightness), heat resistance, and light resistance and a coloring composition with which the same is mixed as well as a color filter using the same, accompanied by scarce coating film debris, and having favorable color characteristics (lightness) and excellent heat resistance and light resistance.SOLUTION: The provided coloring composition is a coloring composition consisting at least of a coloring agent and a binder resin where the coloring agent is a triarylmethane dye forming a salt with a specified vanadic acid.
