<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position measuring device and a method which measure a position of a hanger (spreader), can improve the measurement accuracy for measuring a position of the spreader, and can maintain the measurement accuracy especially even when a laser distance meter is away from the spreader.SOLUTION: A position measuring device 1, which measures a position of a hanger 7 suspended from a trolley 8, includes a laser distance meter 9 which is installed to the trolley 8, and a target 2 which is provided with an inclined part and installed to the hanger 7. The inclined part has a predetermined shape capable of deriving the length to a boundary part of the upper or lower end of the inclined part from the position coordinate of a measuring point of the inclined part reflecting laser light.</p> |
