A display apparatus is disclosed. The display apparatus includes a display part, a memory which stores screen setting data about the display part, an inner interface which performs data communication in the display apparatus, and a switch part which switches the inner interface and a memory or the communication of the memory and a host device. The switch part is driven by main power or hot plug power according to a predetermined condition. If the main power is turned off, the switch part is driven by the hot plug power and performs communication with the host device. Thereby, the display apparatus uses one memory and satisfies the communication standard for recognizing an apparatus.
