PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner that prevents idling of a drain pump and reduces noise generated when the drain pump starts and stops.SOLUTION: The air conditioner comprises an indoor heat exchanger, an indoor fan 4, a drain water storage part for storing drain water generated during an air conditioning operation, and a drain pump 10 for discharging the drain water stored in the drain water storage part. The air conditioner also includes an indoor fan control unit 31 which controls motor rotation speed Rf of the indoor fan 4, a drain pump control unit 32 which controls motor rotation speed Rp of the drain pump 10, and a linkage control unit 33 which interlocks the indoor fan control unit 31 with the drain pump control unit 32 so as to increase the motor rotation speed Rp of the drain pump 10 when the motor rotation speed Rf of the indoor fan 4 is high and reduce the motor rotation speed Rp of the drain pump 10 when the motor rotation speed Rf of the indoor fan 4 is low. |
