The present invention relates to a gas meter leakage inspecting apparatus and a gas meter leakage inspecting method which are to inspect the leakage of a gas meter connected to the gas meter leakage inspecting apparatus. The gas meter leakage inspecting apparatus according to the present invention comprises: a gas source connecting part connected to a gas source; a gas tank connected to the gas source connecting part, and having a certain capacity; a gas meter connecting part connected to the inlet part and the outlet part of the gas meter; a connecting pipe connecting the gas tank and the gas meter connecting part; a differential pressure gauge connected to the connecting pipe in parallel; a front and a rear end valve installed at the front and the rear end of the differential pressure gauge respectively; and a control valve installed at the connecting valve, and connected to the differential pressure gauge in parallel. The gas meter leakage inspecting apparatus according to the present invention determines the leakage of the gas meter by measuring a differential pressure between pressure as a reference pressure at the front end of the differential pressure gauge and pressure as a measurement pressure at the rear end of the differential pressure gauge, thereby quickly and accurately inspecting the leakage of the gas meter.
