According to the present invention, a current limiter having a protection switch for preventing damage to an internal impedance by mounting the protection switch, comprises a first current meter connected in series to a main circuit to measure the current of the main circuit; a first switch connected in series to the main circuit; a second current meter connected in series to the first switch and measuring the current flowing on the first switch when the first switch is closed; an impedance connected in parallel to the first switch and the second current meter; and a controller for controlling the operation of the first switch by receiving information on the current of the main circuit from the first current meter and the second current meter, thereby preventing damage to the impedance of the current limiter. |
