The bearing casing (72) is provided with an acoustic-emission sensor (54), which is attached to the outside of the bearing casing (72) and which has an acoustic coupling surface (60) mechanically coupled to the outside surface of an acoustic coupling wall (94) of the bearing casing, the acoustic-emission sensor being capable of detecting the transient elastic waves resulting from local internal micro-movements of the bearing (80) and propagating up to the acoustic coupling wall (94). |
