<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can secure productivity without depending on mechanical vibration during copy operation while a bit unit price is suppressed by separately using two types of storage devices.SOLUTION: A storage destination selection section 17 selects as a temporary storage destination of image data on which compression processing is performed on the basis of strength of mechanical vibration during copy operation and a data size of the image data on which the compression processing is performed, a first storage section 15 with weak vibration resistance or a second storage section 16 whose vibration resistance is stronger than the first storage section 15 and whose bit unit price is higher than the first storage section 15. When productivity of a device is determined to be satisfied even if data transfer speed of the first storage section decreases in accordance with the strength of the mechanical vibration, the first storage section 15 is selected as the temporary storage destination and when the productivity of the device is determined to be not satisfied, the second storage section 16 as the temporary storage destination.</p> |
