<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for protecting a polishing machine or an electric polishing machine from very high harmonic contents generated when a power source voltage is rectified.SOLUTION: A hand-held polishing machine comprises an outer housing 1, a tool shaft 2, and a brushless electric drive motor in which a rotor 7 is fixed to the tool shaft 2 in the polishing machine and a stator 6 is positioned in the outer housing 1. According to a control method for an electric polishing machine, control is performed in such a manner that current is consumed during a partial cycle in which a rectified power source voltage is higher than a nominal voltage of a motor and the current is not consumed when the voltage is lower than the nominal voltage of a motor, thereby generated harmonic contents can be controlled within the range of permissible values.</p> |
