PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle approach notification device that improves an operating feel of a driver by making small a deviation between a fade-out time and a time at which a vehicle actually stops.SOLUTION: A vehicle approach notification device (1) which controls a vehicle approach sound for giving notice of approach of a self-vehicle to outside the vehicle includes: approach sound generation means (2) of generating the vehicle approach sound when the vehicle speed of the vehicle is reduced below a first threshold; approach sound muting means (3) of muting the vehicle approach sound in a predetermined fade-out time while gradually making the vehicle approach sound small when the vehicle speed of the vehicle is reduced below a second threshold smaller than the first threshold; speed reduction detection means (6) of detecting the reduced speed of the vehicle; and fade-out control means (4) of setting the fade-out time based upon the reduced speed. |
