发明名称 Electronic commutator apparatus
摘要
918,336. Transistor multi-stable circuits. INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATION. Jan. 28, 1960 [Jan. 28, 1959], No. 3060/60. Class 40 (6). [Also in Group XIX] An electronic commutator comprises three bi-stable devices arranged to assume in response to successive input pulses the respective conditions 1,1,0; 1,0,1; 0, 1, 1 and three " and " gates connected each to two of the bi-stable devices, the " and " gates being opened sequentially to supply outputs on output lines connected thereto. As described, a commutator comprises five bistable transistor stages A-E, Figs. 1 and 2, outputs from the stages being connected in pairs to " and " gates connected to outputs 0-9, Fig. 2. Each number 0-9 is represented by two of the stages A-E being "on," the switching sequence being as shown in Fig. 1. The bi-stable stages A-E each comprise two pairs T1, T2, and T3, T4 of transistors, a stage in the " off " state having the transistor T1 conducting, T2 cut off and T3 in a less conductive condition than T4, the states of T1, T2 and T3, T4 being reversed for the "or " state. Assuming the commutator to represent 0, i.e. the stages A and E to be " on " the next input pulse applied at terminal 25 to all the stages A-E, has no effect on the stages C-E, but causes the stage A to be turned " off," terminals 1a, 6a of a gate G2 associated with the stage A being maintained at earth potential by connection to terminals 13d, 13b of stages D, B, respectively, thereby allowing the input pulse to turn off the transistor T2 of the stage A. In stage A, the turning off of the transistor T2 causes a negative potential shift at the base of the transistor T4 which is thereby rendered more conductive, the resulting negative potential shift at the emitter of the transistor T4 being applied via an R.C. network to turn on the transistor T1, the transistor T3 thereby becoming less conductive to complete the stage switching. The potential change at the terminal 13a of a gate G1 associated with the stage A results in a pulse applied to the terminal 3b of a gate G1 of the stage B, which pulse turns off the transistor T1 of the stage B to initiate switching of the stage B. With the stage A now " off, " zero potential is applied to the terminal 6e of the gate G2 of the stage E so that the next input pulse switches the stage E " off," thereby causing the stage A to be switched " on " again.
