PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound exhibiting a high glass transition temperature, with which a stable thin film can be easily formed since the molecule thereof is hardly crystallized, and which has excellent characteristics such as low voltage drive and long life when used as a blue emitting material for an organic EL element.SOLUTION: In a compound, a carbazole ring bonding at a position 3 to pyrene of the central skeleton is asymmetric, so that amorphous properties are increased, and as a result crystallization is hardly caused. Accordingly, when the compound is used as a material for an organic EL element, the stability of a thin film is improved, dark spots are hardly caused, and the life of an organic EL element is prolonged. |
