PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for a card which blocks inaccurate connections using different kinds of cards.SOLUTION: A connector 10 comprises: a housing 1 including a recess 11 to insert thereto a first card 5 with which a first connection terminal 5t is arrayed inside of a slot 5s opened on an end face; a cover plate 2 which covers the housing 1; a plurality of contacts 3 disposed in the depth of the housing 1 and covered by a header 12h which can be inserted into the slot 5s of the first card 5; and a push-push type eject mechanism 4 capable of ejecting the inserted card. A slope 41s is formed in an engaging pawl 410 of an L-shaped slide member 41 constituting the eject mechanism 4. When a second card 6 of which is smaller in outer shape and also thinner than the first card 5 is erroneously inserted, the second card 6 is abutted over the engaging pawl 410 to a front face of the header 12h, such that the connector 10 is unlikely to be brought into contact with the plurality of contacts 3. |
