PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation generation tube 1 in which an electrode 2 connected with an electron emission source 3 and an electrode 4 connected with a target 5 for generating radiation by irradiating electrons from the electron emission source 3 are attached to both opening ends of an electrically insulating tubular member 6 to configure a vacuum vessel, and in which possibility of dielectric breakdown is lowered while enhancing the radiation stability and reliability, by relaxing electric field concentration at the electrode end in the joints of the electrodes 2, 4 and the tubular member 6.SOLUTION: An annular protrusion 21 is formed on the outer periphery of a tubular body 6 in the circumferential direction, and annular recesses 22 recessed farther inner peripheral side than a surface connecting the outer peripheral surfaces at both ends of the tubular body 6 contiguous to both electrodes 2, 4 are formed, in the circumferential direction, in the outer periphery of a tubular body 6 between the electrodes 2, 4 and the protrusion 21. |
